This report presents a technical analysis of the Super Eco Combi’s (SEC) traction performance, with focus on the Dutch EMS2 Safe Starter Set – a trial vehicle configuration envisioned by the Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat along with vehicle OEMs intended to test the feasibility of SECs on Dutch public roads, this is envisioned to be a combination of a DAF 6x2 FTG Tractor, Pacton steerable Semitrailer and Dolly, and a Krone Semitrailer. This combination features a 6x2 pusher axle tractor, steerable first trailer and dolly along with a standard second trailer. The assessment focused primarily on the Dutch EMS2 vehicle regulations, in particular the 20% drive axle (group) load requirement.
